[[I wrote this psalm a few years back. With school starting and a busy Labor Day weekend, I decided to look through the files and find something. And thinking about dedicating a day to the LORD, I also dedicate this entire school year.]]
That the words I say,
And the things I do,
Would be witnesses,
LORD, unto You.
Every moment,
Of every day,
Every second,
In every way.
I dedicate this day,
LORD, unto You,
And pray that You would,
Teach me Humility, too.
Teach me Your virtues,
Show me Your paths,
Direct me to glorify You,
Keep me from Your wrath.
This day, LORD,
Is Yours to take,
Mold it, shape it,
Leave Your wake.
Tomorrow, LORD,
Is also Yours,
Direct my paths,
Open some doors.
I thank You, LORD,
For what You give,
Please help my life,
To be worthily lived.
Show me how,
For You I long,
Help me, LORD!
I long to belong.
I see the pain,
Wherever I look,
What happened is not,
Just stuck in a book.
What is the answer?
Where is the fix?
Are we stuck in this problem?
Are we left with nix?
Oh, LORD, please,
Listen to my pleas,
Listen to my prayer;
I’m down on my knees![[If this sparks your own creativity, I'd love to hear what you think or write in response! Please leave a comment below.]]
I saw two paths split
And so I chose the right path
The left looked thorny
And so I chose the right path
The left looked thorny
Thank you for this. It's a genuine work and a good reminder that every day should be dedicated to God.
ReplyDeleteNo problem. I know I need that reminder daily.
